SMITHY OF IDEAS

ABOUT
Smithy of Ideas is a camp-conference, which is organized by Lithuanian Society of Young Researchers (LJMS) since 2004 and already gains an interest of the researchers from all over the world.
The main goal of this camp-conference is to boost interdisciplinary connections between different researchers, experts and young scientists.
Participants share their scientific experience, explain main problems of their research area, discuss about possibilities how to solve that problems and talk about future perspectives in an informal setting. The program of Smithy of Ideas usually includes not only scientific presentations of the participants but also different free-time activities, like games, discussions beside the bonfire, walking trips in local neighborhood, excursions to museums and architectural heritages. Trainings, which could be useful for young researchers, are also organized. The lectors of such trainings are typically delegates from any of business or scientific fields.
Starting from 2017, Smithy of Ideas became an international camp-conference, when it was organized together with Association of Latvian Young Scientists (ALYS) at the University of Applied Sciences in Valmiera (Latvia). Smithy of Ideas 2018 was held in Plungė (Lithuania), where LJMS continued collaboration with ALYS (Smithy of Ideas 2018 got financial support from the Research Council of Lithuania).
Upcoming Smithy of Ideas 2019 becomes an international conference; however a format of the camp remains the same. We are waiting for the participants from all over the world! Each participant will get a certificate of the participation and a book of the abstracts with ISSN number in e-format. Detailed information about Smithy of Ideas 2019 see below.
